Well, now that my Trike just need's cosmedic stuff done to it, I traded the Old Stires Fiberglass Body for a IRS Pan & Transaxle & possable Motor! I'm going to build my Best Friend a VW Trike...just something simple with 2 Seat's (I gave him 2 Highback, 1 swivel's, Seat's for this Trike) a flatbed & a Toolbox on it! I can also get a Complete Frontend (with Neck) off of a Bike for FREE! I also gave my Bro 2 Cat'seye Taillight's, 16" Ape Hanger Bar's, 1 NEW Maltise Cross Tailight, 1 set of Chrome Fog Light's & I have Most of the Metal we need to build this "Bad Boy"!!! ;D My Bro is Handicap, like most of us, he got ran over on his Harley by a Drunk in a Pinto!!! He has metal plate's all the way around his Pelvic area & can hardly walk! The "hole in the ground" that hit him...like most Drunk's...dosen't have Insurance!!! To add to his problem's, he just got rid of "Blood Clot's" in his Lung's! NOW, they are saying they want to put "Screen's" in his Leg's ! I met "BEAR" over 20 year's ago & we have ridden together almost every day until he moved from So. Cal to Vegas, then I moved to AZ. & we both had our misshap's & both can't ride 2 Wheel's so now we have to ride Trike's! "WE SHOULD HAVE NEVER MOVED" Funny thing is...we both HAVE owned H-D Trike's before & both alway's wanted to have VW Trike's ...Now's we both get to!!! ;D "SKULL"

Back in the 70's, a guy who called himself Bear, used to come into the Arby's where us 750 Honda guys hung out... He had a homebuilt VW Trike then though... This was on Van Nuys Blvd in the San Fernando Valley... Who knows, ya might ask him if that was him. Wouldn't that be something... Probably not him though.... There's lots of Bears... LOL

Nope, it wasen't him...he was in Philly, PA. then! I used to hang at Arby's there once in a wile...mostly at Bob's Big Boy on Van Nuys Blvd., I grew up in Van Nuys...went to Van Nuys High. I used to Cruze Van Nuys Blvd. every Wed., Fri. & Sat. night! That's where I met my Wife...we will be together 25 Year's this Nov. 1st! Bought my 1st Harley at Van Nuys Harley-Davidson...before we moved out here in AZ. we started to hang at a 50's Diner on Van Nuys Blvd. called "RICK'S DINER"...it started out with only 3 of us & before we moved...there were about 300 hanging out on Monday Night's! Right after we moved, everybody stopped hanging out & the place closed & then turned into a Used Car Lot! lol "SKULL"

Wow !!! Where was Ricks Diner ? We had the usual stuff, McDonalds, Jack in the Box, Bob's Big Boy, etc... Arby's was across the street from Fellel's Ice cream Parlor, and the lowriders hung out at June Ellen's Donut's at the south end of Van Nuys Blvd. There was no Van Nuys Harley at that time. I worked for Bill Robertsons Honda where Tujunga, Lankershim and Burbank Blvd met. There was Van Nuys Honda, Bud Edkins Cycles, and Steves Bultaco all in the area, and a Harley dealer on Sherman Way I beleive, near the airport if im not mistaken. I remember when they made a new law, and ya couldn't park on Van Nuys Blvd, between 6pm and 6am (I think it was), and that put an end to Van Nuys blvd as we knew it... They did the same thing to Mullhalland Drive, so that put the binders on the Mini Cooper Club I was in back then too, although, the cops couldn't even get close to us on that road, so we continued to terrorize the mountain top highway between Hollywood and Canoga park. LOL Boy, those were the good ol days...... LOL This was between 1970 and 1976 (when Iost my leg...) Im still looking for it, but no sign of it yet. LOL

Hay man,I got those screens inside me.I've had a few blood clots and this seems to be the best answer. At least u won't get a clot flooting around in ur body looking for something to injury.I've had not probs,he'll have to keep up with his blood thinner, assuming his on it.I've had a tendence not to in the pass, but no more.Tell him talk his doctor, just thought I'd pass my experience along.

Thank's tnshaker, I'll pass that to him...& yea, he's on "Cumiden" (?)! Hey freeonthree, this was all in the early 80's to 93! Rick's Burger's was the 1st light West of Sherman Way on Van Nuys Blvd. My 1st Job was at "Numero Uno's Pizza" right next to "Ferrial's Icream Parlor"...my Dad (R.I.P.) had a SIGN SHOP on Kester & Sherman Way across from that big Church! We lived on 15016 Vanowen & my Dad painted the Sign's for the DMV when it was being built! Of course, that was a quite bit earlyer...in the 60's! lol Before we moved here, we lived about 3 block's from the Van Nuys Airport...right on the flight path for when all the Plane's & Jet's used to come in for the Air Show!!! They flew right over our House all day & night...it was AWESOME! Every Sunday, me & my Daughter would go to Mac Donald's & get "HAPPY MEAL'S" on my 86' 883 Sportster when I had my Coffin Side Hack on & we would go the Ally off of Saticoy just behind the Control Tower & they would watch us with Binockular's & wave, then we would go to the middle of the Alley next to the Run Way & watch the Plane & the C1-30's taxi by...they would wave to my Kid & she would get a kick out of it! I miss hauling ass thru the Tunnel on Sherman Way going under the Airport! "If only I could turn back time"..."SKULL"

hahaha, yep, my uncorked Kirker header sounded pretty cool goin thru that tunnel... Even better when there was 5 or 6 of us at the same time. LOL Totally awesome !!! Back then, we all rode 750 Honda's, and I did the Harley thing for a while, but went back to 750's soon after... I have owned 7 750 Honda's in my life, and never had a mechanical problem with any of them... Sure went thru alot of rear tires though... LOL I used to love Sand Canyon !!! We used to do that road alot !!!

Not any more... I moved here to Red Bluff in 1989... I used to live just off Laural Canyon and Burbank Blvd on Emilita St. Red Bluff is 130 miles north of Sacramento, right on interstate 5, and 30 miles south of Redding... I live 1/2 mile from the best motorcycle road in California. Do a search for "Highway 36 from Red Bluff to the Coast" Im warnin ya though, you'll want to move here after ya visit that site. LOL How's 140 miles of beautiful forest road all the way to the coast sound to ya... It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it. LOL
